The fill-in aspect purely depends on how much you notice or care that Burnham was able to do it all. The flashback change with the blue oval costume is only important if you're a big continuity buff like me and noticed how it made clear that Inc Vol 2 was intended to be a Pre-FP story moreso than a New 52 one (change was kinda forced on Grant). If I didn't go with the Absolute Edition *I'm still thinking about it tho if I can afford it* apart from the few art differences, are there many changes in the story that would affect the reading if you bought the three separate volumes?Really, the graveyard scene correction to smash up Bruce's face is probably the biggest change from the perspective of "fixing a scene to make it fit with the in-story continuity of another issue later in the same series." Bruce's face just could not have been undamaged in the original unfinal page given Morrison's last issues, so that would be a clear discontinuity like if two movie scenes in movie contradicted each other (that might confuse many a reader).
